Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) development has happened because a large number of people accepted each others ideas and worked in the same direction. It allows better collaboration among different parties and individuals with the goal of developing the most efficient software for its users or use-cases.
But, on a second thought, despite this multitude of social media platforms in existence today, are we really connected one-to-one? Are people able to get over their inhibition to talk, build healthy relationships, share ideas and team up? Do people realise the power of ‘the word of mouth’?
Today, a major factor that helps to scale success is Networking. It’s who you know and who knows you that matters the most. In fact, if you desire to climb up the career ladder, Networking is more than imperative. This talk deals with the importance of connecting with people over mere acquaintance.
- The reason why The Start stops most people.

- The significance of networking in shaping urban areas and its upliftment.
- The gravity of connecting and coming together in FOSS development.
- The picture of a real productive platform when people work with maximum efficiency.
