To help developers security audit their website with opensource tools and create secure web applications

Outline

This will be an interactive and very technical talk that will take the audience into the depths of web application security with free and opensource tools. The talk will explain how web applications are exploited and the ways developers must adopt to safeguard the site.

Speaker bio

I work as an Information Security Consultant and am the technical reviewer of two Security Testing Books published by Packt Publishers, Birmingtham, UK. I am an active OWASP Kerala member and a contributor to Mozilla addons with 8 Mozilla addons with one of them being featured among the Best Mozilla Addons of 2013 and also the ‘Featured Addons’ list. I created the world’s first of its kind security testing browser, PenQ (http://www.qburst.com/products/PenQ). I have spoken about web security in events such as Google Dev Fest, Unicom Testing conference, Gtech Technopcark, IITMK along with other several software companies.
